88th Parish Day

Our 88th Parish Day (PD) will be celebrated on 14 July 2024. Holy Communion Service commencing at 8.30 am, will precede the celebrations. The chief guest and celebrant will be the Rt. Rev. Prof. Dr. Habil. Joseph Mar Ivanios Episcopa. Thirumeni will arrive in Singapore on Saturday, 13 July night and will leave on Wednesday, 17 July night. Vacation Bible School – 2024

Mar Thoma Syrian Church (MTSC) in Singapore Sunday School’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) 2024 was held from 20-22 June 2024 with the theme “GoPro”. It was led by Rev. Samson Samuel. Supported by our vicar, Rev. Gino S Philip, the Sunday School Principal, Ajit V Abraham, 10 teachers and 26 youth and adult volunteers, the children had a blessed two and a half days of bonding. Father’s Day – 2024

Father’s Day was celebrated on 16 June 2024. The MTYF led a short program to commemorate all the fathers of our parish. During the service, 4 fathers from different stages of fatherhood (new father – Karun Santosh, young father – Joel Mathew, mature father – George Samuel, grandfather – Biju Abraham) prayed for all the fathers in their respective stage. After service had ended, our youth distributed specially prepared gift packets to each father, containing a greeting card with a verse from 1 Thessalonians 2:11-12, as well as a keychain engraved with the words “Best Dad Ever”. MTYF Picnic – 2024

The MTYF held a picnic on 15 June 2024 at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park. We were able to have 27 youth join us and we were fortunate to have good weather despite the rainy days prior. We had a jolly time trekking to our picnic spot, played a variety of games, and indulged in the wide spread of snacks and drinks that everyone had contributed. Family Camp 2024 – Report

Glory be to God in the highest, peace to all those who love and place their faith in Him. The 33rd Annual Family Camp held from 31 May to 02 June at Sand & Sandals Resort, Desaru, Malaysia, was a resounding success with 185 registrations. We came together as one church, one family united in faith and deepened our connection with God and one another. MWOM Cricket

The Migrant Workers Outreach Mission (MWOM) committee arranged a “Friendship Cup” cricket match at Sengkang Cricket ground on Vesak Day, 22nd May. We had seven teams of migrant workers andalso our own Mar Thoma Church Cricket Team to play a series of matches. We were blessed with good weather and enthusiastic players and team supporters. The tournament commenced at 8 am and ended by 2 pm when trophies and medals were distributed by Achen to the winning teams and best players.
