First Communicant (FC) Dedication

During the Holy Communion service on 26 Feb 2023, witnessed by their family and fellow-parishioners, five of our children dedicated themselves and received the Holy Communion for the first time. They are – Ebin Varghese, Rayes K Mathew, Ryan Cherian John, Shawn Saju John & Timothy Joseph Aby. Our Diocesan Bishop, His Lordship Rt Rev Dr Gregorios Mar Stephanos led the dedication service with his detailed teachings on Life, Baptism, Gifts of the Holy Spirit, Holy Communion, Lighted Candles, gift of Bible. Episcopal visit

His Lordship, Rt Rev Gregorios Mar Stephanos Episcopa undertook his maiden visit as our Diocesan Bishop starting Friday 24 Feb. General Body Meeting & Special GBM

By the grace of God Almighty a Special GBM was held on Sunday, 05 February at 11.15 am immediately after the worship service. The Diocesan Bishop received the Minutes of the meeting on 11 Feb and approved the decisions of the General Body, on 20 February. As per the request of the Office of the Commissioner of Charities, the updated Constitution was uploaded in the Charities portal on 25 February 2023. Great Lent

In the year 2023 Mar Thoma Church will observe the Great Lent from 19th February to 9th April. The Great Lent is the most important season in the Christian calendar when Christians reflect on the passion and sacrifice of Lord Jesus, our Saviour. Senior Citizen’s gathering

Sevika Sangham had organized a short gathering for the Senior Citizens aged 75 and above on 28 January 2023 from 10 am onwards at Prayer Hall 1. Including the senior citizens, there were over 35 participants who attended this gathering prayerfully. Unity Octave

By God’s grace our parish hosted the last worship service of the ecumenical Week of Prayer for Christian Unity on Wednesday, 25 January. The theme for the week was “Do good; seek justice.” (Isaiah 1:17). The service was led by 8 church leaders including our Vicar Gino Achen, supported by lay representatives, including our parishioners & attended by 70 guests in all.
